Daikoku Design Institute

Hida Industries is one of the most known Japanese wooden furniture manufacturers, located in the Hida mountains in the Gifu prefecture. A unified art direction is applied to their corporate logo, tags, packaging, exhibition, and website in order to communicate their dedication to local, ecological product-making. I also directed its Milano Salone exhibition on “wood-bending and compression” (2018), as well as Japan House LA exhibition on Japanese craftsmanship and aesthetics (2020).

岐阜県飛驒高山にある日本を代表する木工家具メーカー「飛騨産業」のアートディレクション。地域環境に根ざしたモノづくりに取り組み続けて来た「飛騨産業」の想いを伝えられるように、企業ロゴからタグ、パッケージや包装紙、紙袋、webサイト、そして展覧会に至るまで、ブランドとして一貫した顔つきを構築しています。ミラノサローネ（2018）では「曲げ木と圧縮」をコンセプトにした展示を、ジャパンハウスLA（2020）では日本のモノづくりの心、美意識に迫る展覧会デザインを行いました。
